The lead tiles on the spire are in need of replacement. Corrosion has worn down the tiles and the spire has become subject to leaks, this will lead to critical damage of the church's integral structure.

The Church has watched over London for almost 1000 years, consecrated by the monk and philosopher St Anselm on Epiphany day 1094
St Anslem is known as the father of Scholasticism, a medieval school of philosophy that brought forth an appreciation of Aristotelian philosophy into the Latin Catholic dogmatic Trinitarian Theology. These schools grew to form the cornerstone of the earliest European medieval universities, the benefactors of modern science.
The Scholastic movement reconciled Christian theology with the roots of classical philosophy, including the likes of Plato, Euclid & Avicenna, along with a rich wealth of Judeo-Islamic philosophy, mathematics and astronomy that had been lost to Western thought through the suppression of information. This Church represents a landmark in the Christian faith, a reconnection with the roots that led to the modern world that we have today.
